There sure has been a lot going off here at the moment, so just going to give you all a recap on what’s been going on! We finally threw our first event this weekend just gone, and it was very well received! We estimate around about 250 friends and customers came by the HQ to have a look around the workshop and the yard, get up close with the BDC cars, project cars and some of our favourite customer cars as well. We had DK Jason Clark running what proved to a very popular BBQ in the lovely sunshine all afternoon, and at night there were around 30 people in attendance for the livestream of Driftmasters round one!
Many customers took advantage of the incredible offers that we had on work bookings, taking the chance to get what might have been the deal of the year, and we sold a lot of the new merchandise which is all on sale now. We’ve been trying to decide if we should have slidefest 1.5 before the summer is over, let us know what you all think!
Now it’s time to get prepping and ready for the third round of the BDC taking place up at Driftland and rumour is that they might be bringing back the team battles! Who wants to see us go the wrong way around another track? Will our boy JC climb even higher in the rankings than his current number 6 spot? Can Slide Motorsport take down Team Japspeed for the top spot of the constructors championship? Stay tuned as we charge head on into the next battle!
We relaunched the Youtube vlog series again last week with our BDC round two video, make sure you go check it out if you’ve not already and subscribe to the channel, all being well we should have a new video out every Friday again!
It’s Driftcup round 3 this coming weekend and Bossman Matt Stevenson is going to be there on judging duty, rumour has it he’ll be doing a bit of a vlog of the event, so look out for that. We don’t officially have a Slide driver in DC now that Stu Jones got his BDC license sorted out, but make sure you get yourself down there to cheer on Slide friend Lozza Hinks who now sits in 5th place in the championship.
