One of the most requested services that Slide can offer is engine conversions, everyone dreams of putting something bigger where it doesn’t belong, and we are here to help you do that. There’s some pretty common swaps that people make, an SR into a BMW for instance, for which we have a pre-made stock mount kit. That being said we can also be the place to help you do something really really ambitious, and we love a challenge so any ideas you have feel free to send them our way and lets see if we can help make it a reality.
All fabrication work is carried out in house by our expert team who have done such jobs as Chevrolet LS3 V8 into a BMW, Honda S2000 (F20C) into an RX8 and 2JZ/RB25s into all sorts of S-Chasis and this is just to name a few. Where needed we can forge parts from scratch such as engine mounts, gearbox mounts, downpipes, manifolds and much much more.
Often times when people are deciding on doing the replacement they may also want to upgrade a few of the stock parts of the engine and drivetrain, saving themselves time and money being able to do it all in one go why the engine is out/in bits. Some of the common choices are the clutch (we always recommend Competition Clutch of course!) and then it really depends what the customer wants from the car. Let’s say we were going to put an RB25 into a S14 and the owner was after a heavy increase in power, we may also look at upgrading the turbo, injectors, induction and the intercooler all in one go, but of course all of this is planned out on a one on one basis specifically for each customer.
